I have been teaching guitar since I was in high school. I have had almost 2 decades of experience working in the elementary classroom and really try to connect with students to help them understand and enjoy the language of music.
To develop and strengthen their musicianship, students will need to practice a minimum of 10 minutes a day.
The FJH Young Beginner Guitar Method Book 1 Lesson Book The FJH Young Beginner Guitar Method Book 1 Theory Book A Notebook and pencil. If you choose to print the additional music that will be sent a folder will be useful. I do suggest purchasing a guitar or chromatic tuner: https://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Tuners/b?ie=UTF8&node=11968711 A tuner could be purchased at a local music instrument store.
I will listen to the students weekly and assess their playing.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents may need to remain close by if their child is playing an electric guitar (for safety).
