Colorful Google slides will be used to introduce PSAT/SAT Practice Test Reading Literature Passages. Students will be encouraged to engage in calculated risk-taking with their approach to encountering the questions affiliated with the passages. The teacher will strive to create a "safe" environment where making mistakes is a valued and understandable part of the learning process. The class will meet 1x per day for 40 minutes for a 5 day long summer camp. * Tentative Class Schedule: Day 1: Vocabulary Words + Read Passage #1 + Start Passage #1 Questions Day 2: Finish Passage #1 Questions+ Vocabulary Words+ Read Passage #2 Day 3: Passage #2 Questions+ Vocabulary Words Day 4: Read Passage # 3 + Passage #3 Questions + Vocabulary Words Day 5: Vocabulary Words + Read Passage #4 + Passage #4 Questions *We will slow down or speed up the pace of the lessons on any given day to accommodate student needs. * YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE MY BOOT CAMPS IN ORDER. THEY ARE SIMPLY NUMBERED TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS.

I worked for The Nantucket Learning Group as a PSAT/SAT Tutor in the Summer of 2018. I have also consulted with various students on an individual basis about their approach to standardized test taking. During the last seven academic years, I have worked as an English teacher and as a faculty member of a learning center. My undergraduate degree is in English and my master's degree is in Education: School Counseling and Human Development.
