In this 6-week summer reading club students will read and discuss together the classic book "Catherine, Called Birdy". Learning about how tweens and teens, like them, lived in medieval Europe along the way.

This book club will be reading the teen classic "Catherine, Called Birdy". Set in medieval Europe it is the coming-of-age story of a young woman who rebels against the social norms forced on her. Full of adventure and life lessons for tweens/teens "Catherine, Called Birdy" will engage young people from start to finish. During each meeting, we will read a single chapter out loud, either myself or a student volunteer, and then close the meeting with a discussion. Discussions will cover...
