Class Experience
🏁Ready, Set, Read!🏁 In this class, students will strengthen their reading comprehension skills by reading different fiction and non-fiction passages and learning weekly reading strategies. This is an ongoing class that will meet twice a week, students can enroll and unenroll anytime.📚 Weekly topics are all related to reading concepts that are relevant to 2nd and 3rd graders, recommended for children ages 7-9 years old. Students will take turns reading a passage provided by the teacher....
Students will be able to read and understand fiction and non-fiction grade-level texts (texts are leveled at grades 2-3) by using reading comprehension strategies. Students will be able to use context clues, background knowledge, and dictionary skills as they uncover meaning, vocabulary, and make inferences when reading a story with other students!
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
