Class Experience
In this multi-day course, students will read the book Dolphin School Pearl's Ocean Magic. Throughout the three day course, students will read the entire novel as a group, as well as answer reading comprehension questions. Discussions will take place regarding the plot, theme, and characters included in the novel. This course will also provide students with the opportunity to gain confidence in their read aloud skills by offering a safe place to practice reading out loud in front a smaller...
Students will read aloud Dolphin School Pearl's Ocean Magic and answer comprehension questions regarding the plot, theme, and characters in the novel.
Current certified K-12 educator in the state of Michigan with a background in teaching an intensive summer school reading program and tutoring in English.
No homework will be assigned in this class. All reading and classwork will take place during the class.
A written report will be provided to parents at the completion of this course evaluating students on their reading fluency and comprehension skills.
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
We will be reading Dolphin School Pearl's Ocean Magic during our course. While it may be helpful for students to have their own copy of the novel, the instructor will also provide a visual of the book during the courses for students to read from and engage with.
