Description

Class Experience

The Summer Reading camp will focus on reading, comprehension, spelling, writing, and fun! 

Day 1 - Students will read Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes at home and we will discuss the book in class. We will practice spelling color words. We will explore creative writing to go along with the story Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes. We will use our reading comprehension skills to tell about the story. 

Day 2 - Students will read Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus at home and we will discuss...

Reading these books at home: Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
Each day will have some prep work before and (most likely) an activity to finish after class.

Learners will need to have one copy of the above books for the day listed in the class description.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Teacher Observation

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
