In this reading camp, students will enjoy a learning about how books are created, the parts of a book, and develop their reading comprehension skills. Students will engage in a variety of hands on activities to encourage a love for reading. In day one of this camp students will listen to a story or series of short stories and answer critical thinking questions about them.In day two of this camp student will learn the part of the book and learn how to identify each part. In day three, students will put their creativity to the test as they create their own stylish bookmark. In day four, of this camp, Students will use their imagination to create their own story book. NEW!!!!! THIS CAMP HAS BOTH A 4 AND 5 DAY OPTION! -Day 1: Critical thinking - Day 2: Talk about the beginning ,Middle, end. Talk about and identify the different parts of the book- title, author, front cover, spine etc. -Day 3: Make a bookmark -Day 4: Write our own story at the end of the week. -Optional Day 5: Engage in a virtual storytelling adventure by working as a team to determine the next part of the story as you complete the quest. Creative Minds Learning Center works with children ages 3-18. We teach a variety of classes that aid the preschool and elementary level learners in a wide variety of academic and social skills. Hands- on activities in this fast-changing world of technology are very important while also maintaining academic integrity. We hold social groups, arts and crafts, and other fun and engaging programs for all ages during this pandemic crisis. We teach the basics of cooking high-quality meals and nutrition. We provide classes that are specialized to work with special needs children. Many of our classes offer small class sizes (6-10) in order to make sure that learners get the most out of their course.
