Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. is a middle-grade novel that includes frank discussions of sexual and religious topics, including puberty, menstruation, and beliefs. This will be done from a secular perspective. Parents should be aware of the content of the book and determine whether it is appropriate for their child's age and maturity level. It is recommended that parents read the book before their child participates in the book club to be able to discuss any questions or concerns their child may have.
