1 live meeting
45 mins in-class hours per week
Homework
1-2 hours per week. It is expected that learners will read the book prior to our weekly meeting. All of the selected books were chosen for not only their literary elements but their high-interest level for readers. If a reader does not complete the book prior to class, Mrs. Bombard and the other learners are not responsible for spoilers.
Progress Report
Mrs. Bombard can provide you with a progress report for your learner after 4 consecutive weeks of attendance. This is done only at the request of the grown-up enrolling their learner.
Certificate of Completion
After 4 weeks of participation, Mrs. Bombard will provide your learner with a certificate of completion! Your learner can earn additional certificates for every 4 weeks of Book Club participation.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6
Does your learner love to read? Struggle to find the right books, perhaps? Research has found that kids read more, and better, when they are presented with high-interest books.

Florida resident? Mrs. Bombard will happily share Florida certification information so you can submit for reimbursement under PEP or UA guidelines!

In this weekly book club, we'll do just that! Every book is hand-selected to be exciting and engaging for readers ages 9-12 (4th, 5th, and 6th grades). Each session begins with an inspiring quote from the week's book, setting the stage for exploring its themes and characters. Our discussions will delve deep into the story's intricacies, fostering critical thinking and abstract analysis.
