Description
Class Experience
As a certified teacher with many years of teaching ELA, book studies and clubs are some of my favorite classes. Watching children blossom with the confidence to share their own thoughts on a book they have read is wonderful. I always strive to create a welcoming and safe environment for students to build their confidence to speak aloud and share their thoughts.
Students will read/listen at home. Students should come to class with at least one discussion topic or question for the class.
Students will need a copy of the book or a way to listen to each book. These books are very popular so if you are using the library to rent the books, you may want to grab them early. Amazon has a collection of Dahl books that should have most of these titles in the box set. Post-it notes to mark pages and write down discussion questions or thoughts about the book.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
