Bring your favorite snack and some tea for this engaging poetry time! In this 5 week course students will learn what poetry is and share poems they enjoy or have written. This class is designed to be a fun introduction to poetry.

Bring tea, snacks, and come on in! This class is designed to be a fun and informal introduction to poetry reading. I have provided an outline of the structure of the class. The first week will be more lecture style to cover the elements, structure, and types of poetry. For the following four weeks, the student will then will bring their own poems to share the following four weeks and read them aloud to the rest of the class. Poetry is meant to be read aloud to get the rhythm, rhyme, and...
Snacks of their choice and tea (or any drink they choose) They will need to bring a poem each week (aside from the first) to read aloud to the rest of the group.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be required to read aloud in class. Please help them find a poem and practice reading with them to help them prepare. Thank you. I look forward to meeting your child.
