Description

Class Experience

Young learners will learn different aspects of music with each class - high vs. low sounds, tempo, rhythm, and more. Singing also promotes breath support and speech development, and many of the songs we sing will help learners with counting, letters, colors, and animals. Many of the movements we do with our songs promote hand-eye coordination, fine and/or gross motor development.
No homework will be assigned, but learners are welcome and encouraged to practice songs they've learned at home.
No supplies are required. Any instruments the learners would like to bring to class are welcome and encourage fun participation when we explore rhythm and tempo of songs. If you have no instruments but your learner would like one, fill an old (dry) water bottle with uncooked rice or dried beans, cap and tape it shut and you have an instant shaking instrument!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
None
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Children will be somewhat active during this class - some songs will only be sung while others may have hand or full-body motions. Children should have a clear space to move around in for class. If your child has any special needs, please feel free to message me ahead of class and I will prepare appropriate variations for their abilities. I have a child with special needs and teach all-abilities classes, so I am very familiar with being creative and flexible to ensure all children can participate and have a great time.
