First grade is one of the most important years, were student learn many meaningful Math skills that will impact the rest of their academic careers. Reinforcement in areas of struggle is important to ensure their success. In this engaging classes, your kid will have the opportunity to practice important topics, while having fun, and loving learning!

Using the I do, You do, We do Approach, the student will have the opportunity to practice first grade Math skills. The teacher will encourage participation by asking prompting questions and will complete the lesson with an assessment game.

Each class will follow the format:
- Presentation of skill (why is it important)
-Examples and supports
-Independent practice

The topics/skills that will be discussed per week are as follows:

Week of June 12th - Place Value Tens and Ones
Week of June 19th - Add and Subtract within 10
Week of June 26th - Place Value Compare 2 digit numbers
Week of July 3rd - Add and Subtract within 20
Week of July 10th - Measurement (length and time)
Week of July 17th - Shapes and Fractions
