We will also read poems from the book "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shell Silverstein to help us understand what a poem is, and to learn how to write a poem. 3. I have taught Prek through 5th grade at a lead level for twenty years, and I love to make learning fun and very hands-on for my students!

In particular, I have taught 5th grade at a private school for 2.5 years and also homeschooled a child in the 5th grade. I have also tutored over 20 children in the fourth and fifth grade years, as a private and online tutor.

I have taken hundreds of hours of professional development training to home my teacher skills, and I am Spading I and II certified, in the content area of Splading Language Arts. Splading is used for grades K through eight.
