In this 4th/5th grade summer lovin' mathematics course, we will reteach/review multi-digit multiplication and division using various strategies for solving such as partial products, lattice, and box method. Skills include problem solving for multiplication up to 3 by 2 digits, long-division (up to 3 digit dividend), and with the incorporation of story problems. Course Overview: Day 1: Introductions and Fast facts - Reviewing basic multiplication and division facts Day 2: Partial product multiplication and Lattice (time permitting) Day 3: Long Division using the box method Day 4: Challenge Day! We will play some competitive rounds of Kahoot and/or Blooket for students to go head to head and test their math knowledge!! 🛑Learners will need to know how to split their screens or have an additional device in order to play.🛑 ➡️Learners should have basic understanding of addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts with related division facts.⬅️ 🕐Don't see a time that works for your learner's schedule? Supply List
Learners should have something to write with, paper/notebook or dry erase board to solve problems. For the online games, students may also need an additional device to play the Kahoot, Blooket, etc.
