Description

Class Experience

In this 5-day class will learn some Kawaii-style drawing for summer/island/ocean characters.  We will draw in real time and learn the steps for drawing four or more (depending on complexity) different characters with each weekly theme.  Drawing skills that we will practice include: pencil sketching, sighting/measuring, color gradient, and ink outlining.  During drawing time we will also encourage discussion among peers to share favorite experiences or insights related to the theme.  This is a...

Students will improve drawing skills such as proportion, sketching, finalizing shapes, and color gradient.  Students will also practice conversation skills and enjoy a relaxing activity. 

Monday:  Kawaii Mermaid and Friends
Tuesday:  Kawaii Fruit/Smoothie/Cold treats
Wednesday:  Kawaii Ocean Animals
Thursday:  Kawaii Pirates
Friday:  Kawaii Island Plants and Flowers

Some coloring may need to be done outside of class if not finished in class.

Pencils, eraser, white paper, crayons or colored pencils, and a black pen (preferably gel-pen or fine-tip black marker).

4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
