Description: This five-week group course is designed for high school students who are eager to gain real-world experience through internships. By working in a collaborative and supportive environment, students will develop the skills and strategies needed to secure meaningful opportunities in their fields of interest. What You’ll Gain: Application Materials: Learn how to create professional resumes and cover letters. Interview Practice: Build confidence with one-on-one mock interviews and feedback. Internship Search Techniques: Discover how to research and identify exciting internship opportunities in various industries such as tech, business, arts, and more. Professional Development: Gain insights into workplace etiquette and learn strategies for building your professional identity. How It Works: Each week, students will engage in interactive group activities, discussions, and hands-on exercises that mimic real-world application processes. Peer collaboration fosters shared learning, while personalized guidance ensures that every student leaves the course equipped with the tools they need to succeed. This group course not only provides students with the knowledge and confidence to land internships but also allows them to network and learn from their peers. Whether you’re exploring career interests or preparing for college, this program helps you take the first steps toward your professional journey in a fun and engaging way!

With over a decade of experience in higher education, I have worked extensively in career development, particularly in the sciences. My teaching experience includes roles as a Cooperative Education Faculty member to undergraduate Neuroscience students. I am currently an Assistant Dean of Career and Professional Development for Biomedical PhD students at a Medical University in Massachusetts.
