This class will cover the first half of a semester of math over the summer. It is specifically designed for an older cohort of students who may struggle with math.

This semester long math class is geared towards older students who would like to be with their peers, while they work out the intricacies of math. The learners will be introduced to a topic during the class session and then have follow-up activities to do during the week. I have been teaching and tutoring math locally for about 20 years. I have a BA in Economics, which has a significant mathematical component (statistics, econometrics, etc...) I also am Orton Gillingham trained, which focuses on multisensory learning to facilitate content mastery for students who struggle, whether due to dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or other neurodivergencies.
Homework Offered
Regular assignments in the Primary Mathematics Textbook and Workbook. These can be graded, if requested when registering for the course.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
