Class Experience

This is for young learners that want to combine early learning skills with horses. Students will be asked to bring their "horse" from the provided print out. They will learn about horse personalities, safety and horse care. No student will be required to talk if they are uncomfortable but this is an interactive class and the students will be encouraged to talk and share. Participants will benefit from a space with room to move as we will be "riding" and "showing" our imaginary horses. There will be no homework in this loosely structured program but students may wish to cut out material in advance. The goal will be communication skills, basic horse education and FUN.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
This should be a very safe learning environment but be aware that students sometimes ask about stallions or breeding questions. I will give accurate but simple explanations and move on.
Supply List
A toy horse is suggested. Students will be asked to bring paper, crayons or markers, scissors, glue and other various craft supplies that could be used for making tack and homes for thier horses. This is up to imagination and availability (fabric scrapes? grass? colored paper?)
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
