Summer Fun Writing Camp

This week long summer camp combines three of my one time classes into a convenient camp session. Class will meet 3 times per week and a different topic will be explored each week. - Students will learn the elements of descriptive writing, character creation/development, and using journaling for ideas.
As a college instructor, I have come across many adult students who do not know how to compose a strong 5-7 sentence paragraph, write a thesis statement or use varying sentence styles. I plan to cover these same skills while also making the topic and the process fun and engaging. The key to learning writing skills for reluctant writers is to make it fun!

Students are also encouraged to creative a creative paragraph/short story based on the exercises completed during the camp. This can be submitted to the instructor for personalized feedback.Assessment

Occasional handouts may be provided by the teacher.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
