In this one-time, self-paced course, students will learn basic facts about thunderstorms in fun, engaging ways. I will cover why it rains and the basics of lightning so that children can understand why thunderstorms are necessary and can be fun. We will sing, do motions, read, and do a craft. I love to have children be as hands-on as possible to connect a fun learning experience to the content. This is the perfect one-time class for children to take during the sometimes long months of summer, or better yet--on a rainy day!
Learning Goals
Students will understand that rain is a result of clouds being full of water and is a necessary part of nature.Students will understand that lightning is a flash of light that creates the sound of thunder.
