Summer Fun! Animals Around the World Geography & Guessing Game (Ongoing)
In this ongoing class, students will learn Geography skills and explore 4 interesting creatures from a different part of the world each week for 10 weeks. Students will guess the sound of each animal, and share their favorites at the end!

In this class, we will meet 1x per week for 10 weeks. To begin class, students will review continents through an interactive slideshow. We'll review countries on that continent and learn fun facts about 4 interesting animals. At the end of class, we'll play Guess That Sound! and students can all share what their favorite animals from the day are. Throughout the lesson, students will be asked questions to encourage critical thinking and improve retention. Literacy, vocabulary and map skills are also enforced as students follow along reading while learning new terminology. Students will also be provided with a map and flashcards to help identify animals and the region they live in each week. SUMMER SCHEDULE! Parental Guidance
This class will briefly discuss native americans, indigenous and aboriginal peoples. It is also helpful to have previous experience with "countries" and "continents" but not required.

Hi! I'm Miss Tatiana. I am an 8th year Home-Educator as well as a Photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. My passions include Geography, World Cultures, Art History, Conservation and Animals!
My classes offer a Montessori-style approach to learning, which includes supporting images or video with text, and many open-ended questions to encourage critical thinking skills. Whenever possible, literacy, vocabulary, number sense, science and geography are all baked into my lessons.
My main goal in education is to make learning fun, and to foster a sense of wonder and lifelong curiosity about our world.
My experience in home-education and various homeschool cooperatives have given me the opportunity to work with children of all ages, and create fun and engaging activities that are easily absorbed. I have organized group service projects and extracurricular classes such as Art shows, Geography Fairs, STEAM workshops, LEGO Club, Green Team Recycling, and more! I am also the founder of a Multicultural Homeschool community and offer classes focused on world cultures, art and various other subjects.
