Class Experience
Most people have painted with watercolors, but do you know how to use your watercolors effectively to create beautiful, colorful, loose watercolor paintings? In this class we will explore the world of watercolors and the beauty of allowing the watercolors to flow. We will paint a loose watercolor painting of a field of dandelions, using only 3 colors and two brushes. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn watercolor techniques: Wet on wet Wet on dry Dry Brush Masking Rubbing Alcohol in watercolor
No homework however you may need extra time to continue creating.
Arches 140 lb Watercolor Paper Watercolor paints (prussian blue, lemon yellow, burnt sienna) Round watercolor brush (size 6 and 12) Liner watercolor brush Water Paint palette paper towel Rubbing Alcohol (with dropper) Masking Fluid Masking Tape Waterproof surface to work on (art board such as plexiglass works well)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may need to use a hair dryer to help speed up the drying process
