This course will be taught in a workshop style with a lot of opportunities for students to interact with the teacher and the class material as and when they feel comfortable to do so. The camp will help students understand the different aspects of filmmaking from idea generation to finished film. I will be using a lot of age appropriate visual material for the students to reference and feel inspired by. We will start the class with brainstorming different ideas. The next step will be learning to script and storyboard these ideas. Then we will learn about the different type of shots and what effect these shots can have on the viewer. Next, students will get an opportunity to shoot/film their own projects and lastly we will learn how to put these shots together in editing to make a film. Day 1- Intro to Film and Idea Generation Day 2- Scripting and Storyboarding Day 3- Basics on Camera angles and Sound recoding Day 4- Basics on editing Day 5- Film screening of finished proejcts

Come along with me on some fun and educating adventures as I share with my students my knowledge and experience in making and viewing films, making art while also learning all about our planet and its inhabitants. I have an MFA in film and video production and have had the opportunity to teach at various schools, galleries, universities and colleges around the world.
