Class experience
In the Summer Fashion Design Camp students will learn all about how to design swimwear. We will design a three piece swimwear collection. Students will complete the same creative design process that professional Swimwear Designers use while designing a Ready to Wear fashion line. Students will learn how to properly create a mini fashion collection. Students will learn how to choose a niche, fabrics, and how to do technical design sketches. Students will also get to name their collections and their Lines.
I studied Fashion Design in my Undergraduate studies, and had a Fashion Design business for many years. I love the Creative Design process and I can’t wait to teach this camp.
Homework Offered
Each Day there will be mini assignments including: Creating a mood board(digital) Choosing a name and niche Designing sketches Selecting Fabric swatches (digital) Doing 1 flat sketch minimum2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students are assessed on their final fashion board which includes their three garment sketches, three fabric swatches, and one flat technical sketch.Grades Offered
