Description

Class Experience

Students will engage in various hands on activities that focus on a math concept each week. There will be modeling, group work, and independent practice in each class. While students work independently, I will engage in one-on-one opportunities to check on understanding. 

Week 1: 
Skip Counting by 2s, 5s, 10s
Students will practice skip counting by 2s. 5s, and 10s with a focus on mathematical patterns. We will observe and discuss these patterns together. Each student will have the...

This class is taught in English.

Students will become comfortable with the following topics listed. The goal is for each student to build upon their current skills and feel confident in solving math problems independently. Each student will learn multiple strategies for solving problems in order to think and work efficiently.

There may be activities students may finish after class if they choose.

Students need paper, pencil, and coloring materials for each class. 
There will be documents posted to the classroom page prior to class that will need to be printed.

Each student's progress will be monitored during each class.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
