This is a group Summer drawing club. The class meets weekly and will draw together based on the weeks prompt. The class is focused on cartoon drawing techniques and character design and construction using very simple shapes. The prompts will focus on animal cartoon characters: Elephant, Giraffe, Tiger, birds, ocean animals, dinosaurs, ect. This club helps students develop a love of drawing and simplifies the drawing process to take their skills to a new level. Students and class provides input and feedback live on what direction the drawing should go based on our weekly prompt. Hence this class is student driven. We will start with very simple shapes and use those to construct our characters every week and we will finish the class by coloring our drawings. We always look at shape and form to layout our drawing and construct our character using simple 3D shapes first. This class is interactive, where students will draw along with the instructor during the session and we will aim to have a completed drawing by the end of the class. This class is for the complete beginner and gives young artist a chance to build a proper foundation. The skills covered in this class will ultimately help students draw from their imagination and crate interesting engaging characters with personality. Sample weekly prompts: Week 1- Topic/Theme 1 - Elephant Pirate Week 2- Topic/Theme 2 - Giraffe Athlete Week 3- Topic/Theme 3 - Lions Chef Week 4- Topic/Theme 4 - Food Characters
