In this 4 week summer time course we will play Disney themed games, have Disney ASL story times, songs with ASL and learn signs about our favorite Disney Characters, shows and movies.
Class Experience
In this 4 week class students will meet to share their love for Disney while learning how to say it with their hands. We will be practice American Sign Language ASL signs to share our favorite Disney Characters, movies and to engage in games and stories using ASL. Week 1 (July 8th) - Topic : ASL Numbers and Alphabet with images of our favorite Disney Characters.Pick a Disney Character that is your favorite and we will practice ASL signs about the character. I completed a 4 year post bachelors Interpreter Training Program and received my certificate for Interpreter training. I have worked as an ASL interpreter in a school setting and have worked in Autistic Support and ABA therapy providing communication support with use of ASL and AAC. I instructed a signing class program to young children ages 18 months- 6 years old at a learning early center. I have been teaching ASL signs on Out school for 3 years . I am also a Mom of 3 kids. My kids are on the autism spectrum and at home we use some ASL signs , some words and AAC devices for communication.
