Class Experience

In this one-time class, young artists will get to show their creative side with a summer themed drawing. Learners are encouraged to socialize and interact with the other students and teacher while adding their personal flair to their creations.

The class is structured in a small group setting. The teacher will guide the students through drawing a watermelon cartoon with the use of a document camera. If time, learners can begin coloring their masterpiece.

Feel free to bring a snack and a drink. Artists need fuel! Most importantly, come prepared to have fun!

No prior skills are needed for this class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello parents and guardians! My name is Ally Stanley and I am a stay-at-home mom to my almost two year old. I live in Tennessee and I have been teaching for 7 years. I taught 3rd grade and 2nd grades and tutored students K-5. When my son was born, I decided to teach from home. I have been teaching ESL in the online classroom for over a year now. I love reading, cooking, and baking when I am not teaching or being a mom to my son, Beau, and my fur child, Jake.

I have a dual B.A. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from University of North Georgia. I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Gifted Education from Kennesaw State University.

I have a passion for making math a fun subject and breaking the uncomfortable barriers students oftentimes have with this subject. My classes are mostly math centered for early elementary learners. Each class will have a hands-on approach with the various math common core standards. My classes are engaging and welcoming to all. I encourage participation and create a safe learning environment for students to know that it is okay to make mistakes. We praise each other often and build relationships as we learn and have fun together. Learners oftentimes have the opportunity to take the teacher reigns from me in order to practice higher order thinking and creative skills.

I also enjoy offering a few creative classes like directed drawings or making slime!

I can't wait to see you in my classroom soon! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about my classes.
-Ms. Ally
