This summer help your dancer stay in shape by joining this summer dance conditioning. Feel free to pop in when you can. Each class is unique and will be taught to the dancers who are in class. This class is an ongoing weekly workout session for the summer that is focused on the strength and flexibility needs for dancers. Each class starts with a warmup and then we move into core strength and abdominals then a leg series focused on turn out and foot and ankle strength. Throughout the class we incorporate dance focused stretches. Many of the exercises are taken from the Pilates repetoire and all are chosen to support the needs of dancers. Each week the workout will be tailored to the students who join. Every class is unique but the principles of strengthening the core and key muscles for ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical and contemporary techniques will be covered. This class is a great compliment for dancers who are taking several technique classes and would like to improve their strength and flexibility for multiple styles of dance. Rotating Weekly themes: Week of july 16: core strength Week of july 23: turnout Week of july 30: hip flexibility Week of august 6: hip control The teacher for this class has taught and performed dance for over 10 years and has a BA in dance. She is also a certified Pilates instructor and physical therapist.

Parental Guidance
Please be sure your learner has plenty of floor space. a mat is most comfortable and aim your learners camera at the mat so there form is visible to the teacher.
water bottles are also recommended!
