We are celebrating Summer! In this one-time class, we will read a story "The Butterfly Dance" about the friendship of two butterflies. After a short discussion, we will craft a beautiful symmetrical butterfly. Here's what you'll need for the craft: - One sheet of paper (white or colored paper) - paint (acrylic, tempera, poster paints, or watercolor) and a brush - scissors - the printed template included We'll discuss 'symmetry' and learn how to make our butterflies symmetrical (if desired)...
Students will practice age appropriate listening skills and turn-taking, following directions, cutting and fine-motor practice, symmetry and sharing their work through conversation. Students can work at their own pace and even complete their projects after class.
2 files available upon enrollment- One sheet of paper (white or colored paper) - paint (acrylic, tempera, or watercolor) and a brush (or Qtips) - scissors - the printed template included
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
