Our math lessons will start with 4th grade material that we will move through at the student' pace, utilizing teacher and student led learning. Once 4th grade material has been mastered, a separate 5th grade course is available to book to continue your child's curriculum, if desired. Topics are listed in the syllabus and include typical upper elementary material. There will be 12 weeks (48 classes) of lessons in total. Lessons will focus on games, illustrations, and interactive activities where the student is practicing and involved in each lesson.
Learning Goals
Based on the syllabus, students will improve their understanding in grade level topics for 4th grade math. They will be able to complete examples in geometry, fractions, decimals, measurement, multiplication, division, place value, & data analyzation.

Bachelor's Degree in Education from Westminster College
Hello,
I am so excited to meet and teach your child(ren)! I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Westminster College and am certified to teach English as a second language or another language. I taught 5th graders for 6 years in Orlando, Florida, and have taught students in K-12 and college for the last 20 years. I have homeschooled my children and others for the past 16 years, and have led after-school reading and math groups for all levels of students. I currently teach & tutor students on multiple online platforms in all subject areas K-12.
I have a husband, 2 children, too many fish to count, and 2 dogs! Outside the classroom, I enjoy hiking, skiing, kayaking, biking, traveling, rafting, and riding all-terrain vehicles with my family.
I currently offer private tutoring for 1st - 6th-grade students in all core subject areas. I can cater our sessions to meet the current needs of your child by assessing grade-level needs, specific content, and/or homework.
My goal is to make learning enjoyable and educational while meeting my students' individual needs. I hope to see you soon!
Ms. Amy :)
