Summer Circle Time Kinder Prep!
Welcome to our 4 week kinder boot camp where we begin exploring different elements of kinder success! During this 30-minute circle time session we will focus on the calendar, gross motor skills, and learning to be a first-time listener!

Welcome to Summer Circle Time Kinder Prep—a vibrant and engaging circle time designed to introduce pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students to foundational concepts through interactive and hands-on activities. In this circle time, students will embark on a journey to explore kindergarten expectations, colors, shapes, weather, and seasons. Our goal is to foster a love for learning while building essential skills through a variety of fun and educational experiences.

4 Lessons
over 4 WeeksLesson 1:
Week 1: All About Me!
Week 1: Introduction to Circle Time.
-Activities: Welcome Song, Name Game, Calendar
-Discussion: How do we sit during circle time? What are some of our expectations? Share something about ourselves! (Favorite animal, color, pet, etc.)
-Gross Motor: Full-Body Stretch & Dance!
-Closing: Show and Tell 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Week 2: Colors & Shapes!
Week 2: Recognize and name basic colors and shapes!
-Activites: Welcome Song, Name Game, Calendar
-Discussion: Review circle time expectations, identify colors and shapes in our environment.
-Gross Motor: Rainbow Yoga!
-Closing: Color and Shape Matching Game 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Week 3: Seasons & Weather
Week 3: Understand and identify different seasons and weather!
-Activities: Welcome Song, Name Game, Calendar, Seasons Book
-Discussion: Review circle time expectations. Chat about favorite seasons, what clothing should be worn during which season, discuss what happens during each season.
-Gross Motor: The Weather Dance
-Closing: Weather Science Experiment 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Week 4: Kindergarten Preparation
Week 4: Reviewing kindergarten expectations and send-off to kinder!
-Activities: Welcome Song, Name Game, Calendar, Kindergarten Book
-Discussion: Review circle time expectations, how to be a first-time listener, and talk about what we are most excited for this school year!!
-Gross Motor: Goodbye dance and song!
-Closing: Kinder Art Project 30 mins online live lesson

Learning Needs
Unique learning needs are supported in ALL of my courses. Providing extra support to each student and their abilities, as well as giving extra time for sharing and alternative movements during gross motor activities.
