Description
Class Experience
This is a condensed version of my 5-week Physics 201 course, set to run over 2 weeks with new lessons every other day. This class is designed to provide an introduction to the basics of waves, an important concept in Physics. Many topics will be covered over this 2 week, 5 lesson class that will give the student a basic understanding of the physics behind waves, to include physical waves, sound waves, light waves, and some unique and special waves. Students will have the opportunity to...
Students will have a basic understanding of the basics of waves. This will prepare them for follow on courses in the realm of physics or other sciences.
I have taught chemistry and chemical engineering at the college level, and have a PhD in nuclear engineering. I have been teaching all disciplines of science to home school elementary, middle and high school students for 12 years. I know how to present science in a fun way to boost students interest in the subject.
Each lesson a 1-2 page sheet of practice problems will be given for students to reinforce what they are learning in the class. These problems should take no longer than an hour.
Notes pages for each lesson and practice problems will be provided by the teacher.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
