US Grade 1 - 3
Students will play the game 'Scavenger Hunt' while learning about nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions, and adverbs. Each day, we will focus on a different part of speech and students will be asked to look for objects in the house that can be described with the pertinent part of speech. This class will help the kids be both physically and mentally active, because by running around the house looking for objects, they will acquire grammar skills. Here is the daily schedule: Monday - nouns Tuesday - verbs Wednesday - adjectives Thursday - adverbs Friday - prepositions

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching English to native and nonnative speakers for over 20 years in the US and abroad. My approach is called "Focus-on-Form", which means my classes are very communicative and interactive in nature, but we still focus on grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary. The most important aspect of my class for me is to provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment for the students and develop affection towards learning English in my students.
On a more personal note, I live in San Diego, California, with my fifteen-year-old daughter, our two dogs, and a cat. We love the outdoors, and we frequently explore our beautiful parks and beaches.
