I love to teach children how to transform the project into their own unique piece of art based on a technique, art history or imaginative inspiration. I love to teach about art, history and culture in a relatable way and I incorporate a project, art or another activity into every lesson I teach. Creating community and learning is the goal of my teaching. I own a teaching art studio in Chicago and Wisconsin. I operate virtually and also do in-person teaching from preschool through adults in arts and crafts. I have a background in calligraphy, art, and teaching. I also work full time and I am the global co-chair lead for my company’s employee resource group for indigenous/native peoples - because I am also a member of the Menominee tribe in Wisconsin. I have gone to school for Christian Education and currently attend and am finishing school for CyberSecurity/Forensic Accounting. I also have worked as a live-in nanny for many years before I had children. I worked as a preschool teacher overseas (in Germany) and prior to that stateside. I am focused on the creative inspiration and happiness of learning. I want to guide participants to make their own inspired project based on the main project but with the option to interpret and create participants' own vision of what they think it should be. I am a mom to two boys - one in high school and one in elementary school. I was a preschool teacher in Germany for a short time and previously worked as the director of education for youth and children in a variety of religious settings. I also have a yorkiepoo dog named Mister, another yorkie named Mrs. and three lady guinea pigs named Chewy, Blueberry and Kay!
