Summer Camp: Fifth Grade Math Fun!
In this ongoing fifth grade math camp, we will meet 4x a week to learn a new math concept, practice, and play a math game together. We will review the full curriculum for fifth grade math if you attend each of the 8 weeks.

Students will be given materials then can print and use at home for additional practice with the weekly math concept.Class Experience
US Grade 5
Each week in this class we will learn 4 new fifth grade math concept. Then we will complete a printable math worksheet together, and finally play a game to practice the skill. This class will go through and teach a full curriculum of the Fifth Grade standards. There will be lots of fun printables to practice with after class! Week 1: June 2 - 5 Class 1: Understand Volume Class 2: Find Volume Using Unit Cubes Class 3: Find Volume Using Formulas Class 4: Multiply Multi-Digit Numbers Week 2: June 9 - 12 Class 5: Divide Multi-Digit Numbers Class 6: Understand Decimal Place Value Class 7: Understand Powers of 10 Class 8: Read and Write Decimals Week 3: June 16 - 19 Class 9: Compare and Round Decimals Class 10: Add Decimals Class 11: Subtract Decimals Class 12: Add Fractions June 23 - 26 NO CAMP Week 4: June 30 - July 3 Class 13: Subtract Fractions Class 14: Add and Subtract in Word Problems Class 15: Multiply a Decimal by a Whole Number Class 16: Multiply Decimals Week 5: TUESDAY July 8 - FRIDAY July 11 Class 17: Divide Decimals Class 18: Fractions as Division Class 19: Understand Multiplication by a Fractions Class 20: Multiply Fractions to Find Area Week 6: July 14 - 17 Class 21: Understand Multiplication as Scaling Class 22: Multiply Fractions in Word Problems Class 23: Understand Division with Unit Fractions Class 24: Divide Unit Fractions in Word Problems Week 7: July 21 - 25 Class 25: Convert Measurement Units Class 26: Solve Word Problems Involving Conversions Class 27: Make Line Plots and Interpret Data Class 28: Understand Categories of Two-Dimensional Figures Week 8: July 28 - Aug 1 Class 29: Classify Two-Dimensional Figures Class 30: Evaluate, Write, and Interpret Expressions Class 31: Understand the Coordinate Plan Class 32: Represent Problems in the Coordinate Plane This is the last class in this section. Parents should be nearby to help with any technology issues but do not necessarily need to sit with their child. As always, parents are welcome to sit off camera with their learner if they wish or their child needs additional support. Students who attend this class should either be currently enrolled in Fifth grade OR currently in 4th Grade and be successful with 4th grade curriculum and are ready for more complex math. This class is also appropriate for students who have completed fifth grade math already but are struggling with math concepts.

I am a licensed special education teacher with experience teaching students with ADHD, ASD, and many other learning needs.
Pre-Requisites
Students should have completed 4th grade and are ready for more complex math. This camp is also appropriate for students who have completed 4th grade but need a review of 5th grade concepts before they start 6th grade .
