Too often young learners find poems stuffy, boring, or intimidating. The goal of this class is to change that idea by exposing learners to a wide variety of poems including acrostic, haiku, color, and diamante.

Description

Class Experience

Join us as we delve into the world of poetry. This is  a mini version of Everyone's a Poet. In this two week class we will study four different poems.  Each class will be dedicated to a different type of poem. During class, students will be exposed to examples of the type of poem of the week, work collaboratively as a class to write a poem, and write their own.  Students will be asked to finish their poem outside of class and be ready to share it in the next class.
