Throughout the week, we will create an artwork using a photo editor.

Day 1 - Drawing
We will sketch a simple character using pencil and paper. I will show students the proper proportions to draw facial features. I will demonstrate step by step how to draw the character and check on the students' progress along the way.
Students can finish their sketch as homework for the next day.

Day 2 - Digitizing the Sketch
Students will learn to upload our sketch onto a free online photo editor (just like Photoshop). We will learn to clean up the pencil sketch and create an outline for the drawing.
Students can finish this process as homework for the next day.

Day 3 - Coloring
Students will learn to color their drawings. I will show students how to work with layers for this process.
Students can finish coloring their character as homework for the next day.

Day 4 - Shading
Students will learn to select colors for shading the drawing. I will show the students where to add shadows.
Students can finish shading their character as homework for the next day.

Day 5 - Finishing
Students will learn to add details, a background, and some finishing touches to their drawing.
Then they can present to the class their final masterpiece.
