During this Art summer camp, Come learn about famous artists and create your OWN “interpreted” masterpiece in their style. Artists will change every 1 to 2 weeks depending on technique needed for learners to create their pieces. #creative

I have helped children for the past 19 years - 11 were working in a school which specializes in high functioning autism (there were neurotypical students also.) Throughout my experiences as an art therapist and then as a special education teacher, I have seen that children learn best when engaged in hands-on acitivities. They tend to retain information much more effectively when enaged in active learning. Besides learning the science standards, the focus for students in this class will be on actively participating.
Parents will be given a list of supplies before the summer camp begins in June.
