Scientific brain studies have shown of the positive impact learning a second language has on the brain. The flexibility of thought and ability to solve problems has shown higher on babies and students who have been exposed to a second language as compared to those who have not been exposed. Teaching Spanish is my contribution, for these findings to expand to our monolingual population as well as students with bilingual parents who have not yet mastered their second language. I have taught Spanish through games and interactions and find that my students use their Spanish vocabulary more often than grammar based teaching. The dynamics in my classes are developed in ways for students to feel comfortable and learn to take chances in using the language and develop their love of learning it.
Homework will include daily practice of the vocabulary covered in class and review of videos assigned for listening.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
