While summer is great for those fun in the sun activities, keeping learners engaged in their studies is important as well. Join me in this one week summer camp where students will meet once a day to design and create their own reader response journal. A reader response journal is a great way to guide students as they read. Creating and learning how to use this journal will help them to practice active reading skills. All work will be done in class. There will not be homework assigned during this class.
Students will need: 1. Notebook/Journal (Spiral 1 subject is preferred) 2. Markers (Colored Pencils, Gel Pens, or Crayons will work as well) 3. Glue Stick 4. Blank Sheet of Printer/Computer Paper (For the Cover) 5. Writing Utensil (Pen or Pencil)
There will not be any assessments in the class.
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
