In this class, students will engage in a variety of summer fun and educational activities based on Junie B. Jones Aloha-Ha-Ha! The topics we’ll cover include Character Analysis: Students will explore Junie B.’s personality, her choices, and how she interacts with others, learning how characters evolve throughout a story. Plot Structure: We’ll break down the plot into its key elements (introduction, rising action, climax, resolution) to understand how stories are structured and how events connect. Vocabulary Building: Through reading and discussion, students will encounter new words, learning how to use context clues and explore the meanings of unfamiliar vocabulary. Themes and Lessons: We’ll dive into the central themes of friendship, resilience, and problem-solving, discussing how they apply to real-life situations. Class Structure: The class will be interactive and dynamic, designed to keep students engaged throughout the session. Each class will include a mix of the following- Discussion: We’ll have guided conversations where students share their thoughts on the story and discuss characters, events, and themes. Games: Fun, educational games will reinforce key concepts and make learning feel like play. Reading Aloud: Students will take turns reading excerpts from the book to practice fluency and gain confidence.
