Does your child love learning about black holes and other "extreme" space phenomena? This summer camp is for them! Over 12 sessions (meeting Mon-Thu for 3 weeks), we'll go on an in-depth journey exploring advanced special topics in astronomy, including black holes, weird galaxies, supernovae and other fascinating astrophysics subjects. Topics to be discussed include: Class 1 - All About Black Holes Class 2 - Anatomy of a Black Hole Class 3 - Black Holes: What's Inside? Class 4 - Black Holes: Questions and Answers Class 5 - The New Milky Way & Its Content Class 6 - White Holes Class 7 - Wormholes Class 8 - Time Travel & Paradoxes Class 9 - Asterisms & Constellations Class 10 - Jupiter: New Discoveries Class 11 - All About Supernovae Class 12 - Unusual Galaxies This course is taught by Quantum Physics for Kids instructor Prof. Mark Baraket (M.S. Astrophysics), an experienced astronomy/astrophysics educator with a commitment to nurturing the next generation of scientists.
