Summer Break with me in the summer version of my full year class that will be full of Interactive, fun and engaging times. *Full Year Version: https://outschool.com/classes/bac30a52-2afe-4214-83f4-cbbb34ad3c45?refuid=73RL9Unr 🌟This class is an advanced level kindergarten/1st grade full curriculum course therefore all students should know all or the majority of their letters (uppercase and lowercase)/sounds and numbers 1-20. -CLASS SUMMARY- ▪️This course will begin with a meet/greet of all students. All students are important to me and I strive daily to create a warm, caring and safe learning environment for them to flourish. The morning message will then be read/followed to further immerse students into the world of literacy and serve as the roadmap for the day. ▪️ Interactive, fun and engaging times will then consist of learning the following: alphabet knowledge, phonics, phonological awareness, sight words, cvc words, word families, sentence structure, reading, spelling, math skills (skip counting, adding/subtraction, graphing, positions, 2d/3d shapes, etc.), writing/drawing (fine motor skill strengthening), colors, and a plethora of more. ▪️ALL standards and beyond are intentionally woven into the curriculum to help prepare students to be academically successful. The infusion of singing/movement, finger play, social interaction, and games will be the surprise. A weekly theme will be featured to accent every week. The following is the day-by-day breakdown of our foundational skill strengthening: 📚 (Reading Days) Reading Segment (any combination of the following) ▪️days of the week/months of the year ▪️ identification/sound of the 2 letters for the week (more letters will be discussed to help broaden letter knowledge) ▪️guided writing instruction ▪️drawing ▪️comprehension ▪️syllables ▪️rhyming ▪️reading ▪️sight words ▪️sentence structure ▪️grammar/parts of speech ▪️book elements ▪️and more 🧮 (Math Days) Math Segment (any combination of the following) ▪️counting to 100 ▪️number identification ▪️one to one correspondence ▪️shapes ▪️highlighted mathematical concept (Examples: sorting, same/different, patterns, addition, subtraction, fractions, place value, graphing, etc.) ▪️guided writing instruction with numbers and math concepts 🎶The infusion of singing/movement, finger play, social interaction, and games will be strategically positioned to create a well-balanced classroom🎶 👩👧👦🦋Social Studies/Science will be explored to help maximize learning. Important Course Information ▪️Class expectations are always stated in the beginning of class to help create and maintain a respectful classroom. ▪️Affirmations are stated daily to build and strengthen inner confidence. ▪️Muting happens as a whole group/individually as needed to help regulate background distractions. This helps to ensure that all my friends can hear and absorb all of the daily agenda. ▪️Students will have an opportunity to share each class, practice public speaking and let their beautiful light shine. ▪️Important social skills such as taking turns, listening to their classmates and patience will be strengthened along the way. ▪️I’m a strong believer in the concept that teamwork makes the dreamwork to help students build confidence and eventually more independence. Parents please be in ready mode to help your child during class as needed. We will have a fun and productive learning experience. Are you ready? Let’s Go!

Happy Outschooling!!
Hello, I’m Teacher Aneesa, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Outschool community to share my love for learning! I hold a Master’s of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Early Childhood Education from Walden University, along with an ESL certification (TESOL). I feel truly blessed to be in my 15th year of my passion, educating young minds.
I believe that instilling, building, and maintaining foundational skills in the early years is essential for a child’s long-term academic success. When my students develop a strong understanding of core concepts, they gain the confidence to approach new challenges with curiosity and resilience. My goal is to ensure that every child feels secure in their background knowledge so that they can transition into more advanced subjects with ease.
By providing a structured yet engaging learning environment, I help my students build deep connections, think critically, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. When children feel capable and prepared, they experience less frustration and more success, making learning an exciting journey rather than an overwhelming task.
I am committed to fostering a love for learning by creating joyful, interactive experiences that strengthen foundational skills. I want my students to leave my classroom with not only the knowledge they need but also the confidence and enthusiasm to embrace future learning opportunities.
On a personal note, I’m a family-oriented person and I love to sing! I’m married with three athletic daughters who keep me on my toes with their busy schedules. Our life is full of fun chaos, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. If you hear me singing in class, feel free to join in—let’s sing and learn together!
I can’t wait to meet you!
Kindest regards,
Teacher Aneesa
