The elements of good writing are simple: grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization. By mastering the rules and conventions, you will make your writing easier to understand and more enjoyable to your readers.
We will have a new word list weekly, focusing on basic and new vocabulary spelling and definitions.
The class is new each week and anyone can join anytime and not miss a thing!
We will also learn and practice parts of speech, and proper punctuation.
The assignments will be on Nearpod.com and Kahoot.com.
***Learners must be able to understand and speak and read English fluently in order to be successful. This is not a class to LEARN the language, it is a class to PRACTICE the language.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there!
Thanks for reading my profile; I'm happy to answer any questions.

I have been teaching elementary, middle school, and high school in Florida since 1995.

My teaching style is mostly easy going and casual as long as everyone is able to learn.
I encourage classroom interaction and discussion between students and with me. My students might be from three different countries all in the same virtual classroom! However I will keep everyone muted during instruction or when there is just too much background noise.

My education includes a Bachelor's degree in Education from Toledo, Ohio, and a Master's in Psychology from The University of Phoenix, OLS.

My Educator's License is from the State of Florida Department of Education. I am certified in ***Exceptional Student Education (Grades K-12)
Elementary Education (Grades 1-6)
and Mathematics (Grades 5-9)

If you're interested in a little bit more about me, be sure to watch my profile video.
I am so excited to have you in my class! See you soon...
