 Week 1
Lesson 1
📗 Class 1: "Tessa's Family Day" by Racheal Rice
-Introduction to the club and overview of the course. -Reading the fiction story "Tessa's Family Day" (the book will be displayed by the teacher). -Discussion on the elements of the story, such as characters, setting, and plot. -Introduce and practice the reading strategy "Retell to understand text"
 Week 2
Lesson 2
📔 Week 2: "Life Cycles" by Sean McCollum
-Introduction to non-fiction books and their features. -Reading the informational book "Life Cycles". -Discussion on the main ideas, facts, and opinions presented in the text. -Exploring the reading comprehension skill "Compare and contrast".
 Week 3
Lesson 3
📕 Week 3: "The Cat and the Tunnel" by Rus Buyok
-Introduce and practice the reading strategy "Retell to understand text" -Introduction to the adventure genre and its characteristics. -Reading the adventure story "The Cat and the Tunnel". -Guided activity on identifying the problem and solution within the story, emphasizing critical thinking and comprehension skills. -Engaging in imaginative activities inspired by the adventure theme, such as creating treasure maps or writing a cliffhanger ending to the story.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
📘 Week 4: "Adventure in London" by Jessica Malordy
-Introduction to the concept of author's purpose in writing. -Reading another adventure book "Adventure in London". -Discussion on the different purposes authors may have for writing, such as to entertain, inform, or persuade. -Guided activity on identifying the author's purpose in the adventure story, highlighting key textual clues and evidence.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
📙 Week 5: Book Review Bonanza
-Reviewing and reflecting on the books read throughout the course. -Sharing favorite moments, characters, or lessons learned from the stories. -Conducting book reviews or creating book recommendation posters. -Celebrating with a mini-book party or storytelling session.
