Class Experience
In this ongoing class, learners get the experience of hearing a picture book read aloud. Students do not need to have a copy of the book since this class does the reading within the class time. This class promotes the enjoyment of reading in an stress-free environment. Students follow along as I read a book aloud and stop periodically to study and discuss new vocabulary words and comprehension questions to help learners connect to the story. This class is designed to engage students as we practice new vocabulary words, learn new comprehension skills, and enjoy discussions and opinions shared about a book read together.
I have had over 17 years of certified teaching and professional development that has me prepared to engage and teach learners new vocabulary and comprehension skills needed in the elementary level.
No supplies are needed. But be ready to have fun.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will not need any books since the books are read aloud in class.
