Paint a goldfish bowl inspired by Matisse during this 3 day Summer Camp! No experience necessary! Students will work with acrylic on canvas to create their own masterpieces and will layer onto their paintings each day during the camp. They will learn skills like colour mixing, layering paint, designing their goldfish bowls, painting foliage, and more! They will also learn some fun facts about the amazing artist Matisse. Ms. Emily will guide students step-by-step throughout the class and will show a close-up view of her hands while she demonstrates each step. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and share their artwork with the other artists in the class. It will be a warm and welcoming environment that will be a good mix of learning and fun. Here is a breakdown of what students will work on each day: Day 1: Paint the background. Day 2: Paint the flowers and foliage. Day 3: Design and paint the goldfish bowls. Hope to see you there!

Hello Outschoolers! 👋
🎨 I am an artist and educator with more than 10 years of teaching experience and I LOVE teaching art!
👩🎓 I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts and have taught a wide range of art classes over the years, including teaching art to individuals on the autism spectrum.
🦋 My specialities include drawing animals and nature, as well as painting with watercolour.
🌈✨ I always strive to teach fun and engaging classes while creating an inclusive environment that puts learners at ease. I like to sprinkle educational facts into each art class and allow lots of room for creativity. I don’t believe art should be stressful and strongly believe that having good art experiences can lead to greater self confidence and improved mental health.
👋 Hope to see you soon!
