Class Experience
Leave the art enrichment up to me this summer! In this flex class, each week we will create artwork that is beautiful, easy and fun to do! This class is great for all levels of learning, and no prior knowledge is necessary. These are one stop shop lessons that can be completed in one sitting. At the end of this course, your learner will have completed 9 frame-worthy works of art that would make anyone proud. Not just art! Each lesson has an enrichment component in which I connect their learning to other Core content such as S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, an Mathematics) and history. These are well-rounded lessons for well-rounded learners. Week 1: Amsterdam Architecture Art Week 2 : Faux Stained Glass Painting Week 3: Watercolor Circle Art ( Week 4: 1-Point Perspective Drawing Week 5: Firework Salt Art Painting Week 6: Op-Art Hearts Week 7: Jellyfish Mixed Media Artwork Week 8: Koi Fish Painting Week 9: Zentangles Class Breakdown...How It Works Each Monday I will post: 1. A video of that week's lesson 2. The discussion question of the week 3. A thread for students to post their artwork Students are encouraged to: 1. Post their completed artwork (a picture or video message); Alternatively, students can send it to teacher directly. 2. Respond to the discussion question and/or give positive feedback to at least one student who has posted their work. A flex class requires that students have interaction with each other, so these activities are strongly encouraged. What is a flex class? -Pre-recorded videos are utilized instead of live meetings. -Classes are available to learners anywhere at any time -Students interact with each other through discussion posts instead of in live meetings Benefits of a flex class: -Learn at your own pace: No more feeling left behind. Rewind, pause, and replay the lesson video as many times as your learner needs. -Learn on your own time: No more missing your favorite lessons because of time zones, schedule conflicts and busy schedules. -The teacher is always available for any questions, concerns, or feedback that you may have.
